99th Monkey is seeking a small loan ($8,000) to enable it to bring a turmeric latte product to market in Australia, using spices sourced from Timor Leste. The turmeric latte product will be sold through 99th Monkey’s distribution channels around Australia.
Initial market testing of the product has been very positive. 99th Monkey now needs to secure a small, initial order of spices to supply product to customers and establish the product in the market.
99th Monkey has a great track record and established business traction with its range of nut butters -- the turmeric latte product will utilise the same distribution channels; 99th Monkey’s product is competitively priced, < 50% the price of other similar products.
This purchase of spices will generate economic opportunity for Timor Leste producers and their communities - while only a small purchase this round, this deal will establish a supply chain and open up opportunities for further trade and economic development for Timorese spice producers in coming years.
